The aim of Proceedings of the International Association of Hydrological Sciences (PIAHS) is to provide up-to-date overviews of work in specific fields of hydrological sciences by presenting peer-reviewed papers from IAHS conferences and workshops. The scope covers all hydrological and related sciences and is determined by the activities of the IAHS. Every volume has a theme reflecting the topic considered at the corresponding event and is guest-edited.

The Proceedings of the International Association of Hydrological Sciences is a continuation of the IAHS Proceedings and Reports series (the IAHS Red Books) that commenced in 1924, whose archives are accessible at http://www.iahs.info.

From 6 June onwards, all newly submitted articles, if accepted for publication, will be distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.

New display and citation guidelines for DOIs

To make it as easy as possible for users without technical knowledge to cut and paste or click to share DOIs, CrossRef has changed the display and citation guidelines for DOIs from "doi:10.5194/abcd" to "https://doi.org/10.5194/abcd".

International Geo Sample Numbers (IGSN) now includable in article assets

Since early 2016, Copernicus Publications has been enabling authors to connect their articles with underlying or related material such as research data, model code, or scientific videos. To enhance reproducibility it is now also possible to include International Geo Sample Numbers (IGSNs) as assets.
